What Is The NBI Online Registration?

NBI Online Registration, also known as NBI Clearance Online, facilitates the online registration process for NBI applicants and is overseen entirely by the National Bureau of Investigation. Upon registering on NBI Online, you consent to provide your personal information for storage and utilization following our mandate under RA 10867, specifically for investigative purposes and derogatory record checks.

You can access this service through a computer, mobile phone, or tablet connected to the internet. There’s no need to visit the NBI Clearance office anymore. Utilize your internet-enabled device to register and apply for NBI clearance online conveniently.

To initiate the online registration process for NBI Clearance, visit the official NBI Clearance website, complete the form with your personal details, and adhere to the provided instructions.

How To Apply For NBI Online Registration?

To initiate the Online Registration for NBI Clearance, you’ll require either a computer, mobile phone, or tablet to access the NBI Clearance Online Registration and Application Services. Begin by entering your information into the provided fields.

There are two types of websites for NBI Online Registration. The first is https://firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph/, specifically designed for first-time job seekers who are applying for their initial NBI Clearance to meet employment requirements.

The second option is https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/, which caters to regular or multipurpose NBI Clearance applications. This platform is suitable for individuals who have already availed of the free copy of NBI Clearance and those applying for the second or subsequent times.

Multipurpose NBI Clearance Requirements

Submit any two valid government-issued IDs, including but not limited to:

  1. UMID
  2. Passport
  3. Driver’s License
  4. Birth Certificate authenticated by PSA (original copy)
  5. And more…

Please note that non-government IDs and Barangay Clearance are invalid for NBI Clearance processing.

Step 1. Registration website

Visit either the NBI Online Registration website at https://firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph/ or https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/. This tutorial applies to both first-time job seekers and second-time applicants.

The distinction between first-time job seekers and second-timers lies in the payment process. The service is free for first-timers, and there’s no query regarding whether you possess an NBI Clearance from 2014 to the present. Apart from these aspects, all other details remain identical.

The image displayed below pertains to NBI applicants who have previously obtained an NBI Clearance but have since misplaced the old clearance.

In this scenario, you can select “NO” when asked about having the issued NBI Clearance from 2014 to the present and proceed to fill in all the boxes with your personal information.

Next, check the box for “READ and ACCEPT TERMS OF SERVICES” and the “I’m not a robot” box. Following that, click on the “SIGNUP” button.

If you possess the old NBI Clearance issued from 2014 to the present and have not yet registered in the NBI Online registration, select “YES,” complete the form with your details, and enter the OLD NBI ID Number.

Once you’ve entered your information in the respective fields, whether you’re a first-time job seeker or a second-timer applicant, proceed by clicking either “PROCEED” or “SIGNUP.”

Step 2. NBI OTP or One-Time Password

Conversely, after clicking “SIGNUP” or “PROCEED,” an OTP (One-Time Password) will be generated.

The OTP, which stands for One-Time Password, is the essential element to finalize your NBI Online Registration. You will receive the OTP on your mobile phone number.

Note: Ensure you input your NBI Online registration OTP within 5 minutes; otherwise, it will expire and become unusable. If this occurs, you will need to request a new OTP.

Upon receiving the six-digit OTP on your mobile phone, input it into the NBI Online Registration, and then proceed to the next step.

Step 3. How To Fill up the Online NBI Appointment Form

The Application Information requires additional personal details that must be completed. All fields marked with (*) are mandatory and cannot be left blank. Refer to the sample below.

As an example, I chose “MARRIED” for Civil Status, but you can modify it by clicking the (▼) downward-filled arrow to switch it to “Single” in the Application Information for NBI Online Registration.

Ensure that you thoroughly review all the information for accuracy. If there’s any error or if you wish to make changes, click on “EDIT INFORMATION,” then save the corrections and proceed to click “APPLY FOR CLEARANCE.”

Step 4. Valid IDs

When registering for NBI Online, bringing a valid ID to the NBI Clearance Office is imperative. This valid ID will prove your identity when claiming your NBI Clearance.

Following submitting your CLEARANCE APPLICATION, you must select the available ID that you will present at the NBI Clearance Office.

To view the valid IDs at your disposal, refer to the screenshot provided by NBI Online Registration. Choose one valid ID as indicated in the screenshot below.

Once you’ve chosen the valid ID, click “I Agree” to proceed to the Appointment Schedule.

Step 5. How to Make an NBI Appointment Online Schedule

The NBI Clearance Appointment Schedule is accessible online. Following your registration on the NBI Clearance website, you can create or select an appointment date, branch, and time for your visit to the NBI Clearance Office.

When picking an NBI branch, it is advisable to opt for the one nearest and most convenient for you. As for selecting the time and date, availability ranges from AM to PM, Monday to Friday, with no slots available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Step 6. How to Pay NBI Online Registration

After successfully scheduling an appointment online, the final step in the online registration process is to pay for your NBI Clearance.

We offer numerous payment options for your NBI Online Registration and will provide you with all the details.

Six payment options are available for NBI Online Registration: Bank Over the Counter, Online Bank, Bayad Center Outlets, Bayad Center Mobile App, ECPay, and 7-Eleven.

To complete the payment for your NBI Clearance, select a payment option, as illustrated in the screenshot above. Choose one of the six available options, and a new small window will appear with a reminder. Click “PROCEED” to generate a Reference Number.

Step 7. Personal Appearance

Your presence at the NBI Clearance Office is essential on the scheduled appointment date. This is because they will capture your photo, fingerprints, and biometrics before you can obtain your NBI Clearance. In contrast, your NBI Clearance can be delivered to your doorstep when you renew it.

Here are the essentials when obtaining your clearance from the NBI Clearance Office:

  1. Bring Two Valid IDs: Non-government IDs and Barangay Clearance are not accepted for NBI Clearance processing.
  2. Dress Code: Avoid wearing sandals or sportswear. It is recommended to wear semi-formal or formal attire, and a polo shirt is also acceptable.
  3. NBI Clearance Receipt: Carry your NBI Clearance receipt as proof of payment for the clearance.

Step 8. What to do when you are already in the NBI Clearance Office?

Upon reaching the NBI Clearance office, consulting with the NBI Clearance personnel is advisable before proceeding further. They will provide instructions on which window you should approach to begin the process.
